Born in 1978, Bénédicte Péran began her piano
studies at the age of six.
After having obtained her diplomas from the Créteil
and Gennevilliers Conservatories, she entered the Royal Conservatory
of Brussels where she studied with two professors of very different
cultural backrounds : the Russian Michael FAERMAN, winner of the
prestigious Queen Elizabeth Competition in the 70’s, an era of Soviet
domination in virtually all international competitions and the Flemish
pianist Piet KUIJKEN, member of the famous baroque playing family,
who, with Gustav LEONHARDT were the precursors of the baroque
revolution of the 80’s. Those two styles of music helped Bénédicte
Péran create a rich and diversified musical personality.
Master Classes with such renowned artists as
Menahem PRESSLER, figurehead of the famed BEAUX-ARTS Trio and
Professor at the University of Indiana, Bloomington, have also helped
in the development of a complete and comprehensive training of this
brilliant instrumentalist, wether in concerto playing, recital or
Chamber Music.
